Renovation of the children's library in Samarkand
Design documentation and construction documentation
Habitat developed the project documentation for a children’s library built in 1911 in an eclectic architectural style. The design carefully responds to local climatic conditions. A new structure was designed and carefully integrated with the main historic building.
The interior reflects the cultural context of the place, seamlessly combining it with functionality. The project integrates interior volumes with the architectural structure, expressed through custom furniture elements. Functional zoning was carefully developed as part of the design process. The entrance area is designed to maximize the efficient use of space.
The children’s library project brings together historical heritage and contemporary architectural solutions, ensuring functionality, comfort, and versatile use of space.
